Ok, so I decided to give Maverick a try, after removing Ubuntu One, system runs great! So I added the Satanic Lucid repos, installed great! Rebooted and plymouth works great, every thing seems to work great, no issues yet. Screensavers work great! Not one issue yet.

Will keep you informed on any issues that might arise over time.

Nice one. That's good to know.

never heard of this program, but I will make a research
  3.
    What I found :)

    - The file size should not exceed 4 Gb because that is the maximum filesize ISO9660 can handle.

    - Remastersys Tip:
If you receive the error message about the ISO file is too large, check to see how much data is contained in your home folder and all other users home folders. If there is a large amount of data, the easiest thing to do is to edit the /etc/remastersys.conf file to exclude /home or any other locations that you need. There is also a GUI to do this in the Administration menu. The only caveat to this is that you will need to backup your personal data some other way than Remastersys.

    - Pray Satan or maybe TUX (that's my tip ^^ )

    Hope it will help you

Thanx for that Clive. Only thing was: I was trying it on a new install. All I added were java6, flash, the Satanic themes and music, plus w32codecs. So the ISO shouldn't have been very large. I got past that after a bit though. Then it finally finished and told me where to find the new ISO and the folder was empty, no ISO at all. I think remastersys is bugged now.

I have found that propitiations and sacrifices are often necessary for working with ISO's. Live animals seem to work best for this.
