I dont own an Apple, yet

but for the spanish speaking Ubuntu satnists, may I suggest the local web of the Mac users of my country ?

I live in Montevideo,Uruguay (Southamerica), a very atheistic country, that was founded by freemasons

and the Apple users have their page at:

    Hi Fabian,

Thanks for the tip. I know where Uruguay is – you have a great football team! Sounds like a cool place.

The Mac site is in Spanish – if you’d like to post there for us, then please feel free.

ok….how do i get the powerpc version? i have the repository, and was able to get the sounds, gdm themes, icons, and the satanic theme that you drag into preferences>appearance>themes, and the ppc version of usplash. However, i cannot get the usplash to work. also, in synaptic, it says that ubuntu-se cannot be installed.

im missing something. also, the sounds has a bug as far as for me on ppc. the logout sound doesn’t play.

for anyone helping on this…..my specs are: ibook G4, osx 10.4.11 dual boot with ubuntu 9.10. 1.33Ghz processor, 1gb ram. anything i left out?

i REALLY want to have the splash screen changed.

ALSO, you artists out there, can someone make a 360 degree panoramic skydome that goes with the satanic theme? the lava one is cool, but im looking for pentagrams, goat heads, BLOOD, skulls, etc.

    Hi,

There were power PC versions of the packages a few years ago and they should still be in the repositories for older versions, but I don’t have the ability to compile new ones. Unfortunately, due to lack of demand we have let this version slide.

Most of the packages will work because there are architecture independent. The usplash and GTK themes won’t.

One option is to compile the usplash package yourself (not as hard as it sounds). The source is available.

Does official Ubuntu support PowerPC any more? What version are you on?
