Dell to offer Ubuntu Satanic Edition
Dell will offer Ubuntu Satanic Edition as an option on a selection of new PCs, it was revealed today. Norma Stits, a Dell spokesperson, said, “Ubuntu is the coolest Linux distribution and Satanic is the hottest Ubuntu. We’re stoked that we’re finally able to offer such a quality OS to our customers. As an added bonus, the first 10,000 laptops will come with a free goat of your choice.”

Oops, we should probably clarify the procedure required:
Buy a Dell preloaded with Ubuntu.
Install Ubuntu SE.
Enjoy.

Yes, dell will be allowing the choice on some of there machines, i have to say, even i havent tried this theme, is awsomtastic from the screenies. If i need a pc from dell, Ubuntu, and a few minites of arrival, Ubuntu SE would be my first choice

I have this installed and have to say it’s awesome. The artwork is amazingly good quality with inspired imagination. Any chance of the “number of the beast” cover (Iron Maiden)? Now that would be another cool!! fantastic work but why can’t Dell pre-install this with Ubuntu? It’s only a little extra work.
Cheers you guys!

Hi Vincent. Comments like that make it all worthwhile!
The Number of the Beast cover is a great piece of artwork. The artist Derek Riggs may be upset if we ripped it off… but I’m sure we could use it as inspiration for a future image.

Finally someone with the bravery of offering a CHOICE.
Although I’m not a satanist, or of any religion, I say, this is great, even if I don’t worship satan or anything.
Dell should start a separate branch for computers for satanists.
Hell Computers! With Ubuntu Satanic Edition!
Maybe I should work on a linux distro called
Subgenius Linux.
Or Linux Discordia Edition
or maybe you guys can release Linux Illuminati Edition lol.

Great artwork, I’m impressed. I’m into painting myself but can’t figure out how to use the drawing apps, so I just stick with my oils.
This is technically faultless and inspiring.
Much appreciated. As is the humour behind it.

Hi Carl - thank you very much!
Yes, the drawing apps can take a lot of learning. I’ve been using The GIMP for years as in image manipulation program, so connecting a graphics tablet was the next logical step. I’m sure it will take years to master.
Inkscape is great for vector drawing (used for the website banner and Bat wallpapers), although not as mature an application as The GIMP. It can produce some great results for certain images. I’m pretty new to it, so again there’s a lot to learn.
The 3D stuff is another art altogether - once the image is constructed then with a few tweaks of camera angles or object rotation you almost have a completely new image… then you just have to wait for it to render. It’s loads of fun.
Have you tried scanning your paintings and touching them up? This may be a good introduction to using the tools. I’ve been scanning my sketches recently. It’s a neat way of doing things.
Garry.

Er, if you read round Baphomet’s pentagram it says “ubuntu”. It’s the name of a Linux distro.

Do you think I could get a virgin instead of a goat?
September 22nd, 2007 at 7:54 pm
Nah, we keep those for ourselves.

The goats are virgins. Or at least they were…
