This project is hands down the best idea ever created PERIOD. I could not fit into this box the words needed to describe the admiration I have for those who started and work with this project. I will be sending this site valentine invitations next February. And lastly and most importantly I will I vow to install Ubuntu CE on every Christians computer that I can find because “I have found Jesus”, and include a CRON job with the conversion to this project. My checks hurt from smiling.

For all of you guys running Linux on a HTPC setup I recommend installing the OS on a USB flash stick. I’m running Ubuntu as a basis for a media server & net browser off a 4 GB SanDisk Cruzer. Works like a charm and boy are the OS operations quiet! I’ve installed a bunch of additional SW and currently the system takes up about 77 % of the 4 GB. Using a 8 GB device might provide some additional freedom in the future when installing SW on Ubuntu.

    Hi Jimbo,

That sounds like a great tip, especially as the size of USB sticks grows. Have you got a link to a tutorial or any tips on getting it working?

Nice work overall guys. Especially like the new screensaver! Now you need only 1 last item; a wicked (lol) grub boot splash! Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next version.
