I have to thank you. I have not laughed this hard in years. It’s good to see some opposition to those damn Christians and their versions of linux.

Great wallpapers. I’ll have to finish up the ones I started. Haven’t had a chance to, been busy with school and all.

Hi Dustin,
So school’s more important, huh?

SE only adds wallpaper and a theme tho’ - whilst every theme deserves utmost respect it hardly consititutes a seperate build. Whereas those holier that thou types have their own suite of specialist apps to beat down you shallow mortals. Shame on your slothness… hold on… ’sloth’ ..well done!

But… no AMD64 version? It means I cant install it on mine
April 30th, 2007 at 7:19 am
Hi Nate,
You should be able to install all but the usplash stuff.
I’ve scoured the web trying to find out if there is a way to compile for multiple architectures with no luck. Without making the packages “official” and getting them built on the central Ubuntu servers then I’m a but stuck.
I’m going to create a package which will automatically compile on the target machine, so will work on any architecture. Should be ready soon.

Thanks for a great “distro”.
Sorry I couldn’t put it over the Christian edition but maybe it will help keep those, groveling, scraping, worshipping, praying, kneeling, begging, singing to an ancient myth, idiots away.
They really do all that, you know. Unbelievable…
I don’t hate all of the religious people, just the religious part.

I created two dreamscapes with stardock dreammaker using your animations for my Vista Machine. They are Absolutely Beautiful. My Vista Machine is now much improved. Thank you so much for all your hard work and aristic talent.
April 30th, 2007 at 7:22 pm
Nice one Housegecko; I’m so glad someone has made use of the animations. If anybody wants any of the other 3D images animating in any particular resolution then I’ll be happy to oblige - the only problem is that they just take soooo long to render.

Link in my blog placed.
Eternal thanks for a lazy damned….

I hope you continue with more animations. I can’t imagine how difficult they are to make. I can wait until you post another in the future. Again, thank you for the two you have produced.

OK, I’ve kicked off the rendering of a new anim based on the SE3D-3 wallpaper. It’ll take a few days to render all 360 frames but will hopefully be worth it!

Thank you soooooo much. Can’t wait to see how beautiful it will be.

Yeah Garry, just a little bit.
School’s out now, so I’ve got a little time to work on them before my summer classes start up on the 21st. I’ll try to get some work done on them soon.

Looks great.
No public key when I tried to install so Ubuntu advised me not to are you a devilish trojan or root kit?
May 14th, 2007 at 7:17 am
Have you completed the section in the instructions (http://parker1.co.uk/ubuntu-se/installation.php) which is entitled “Download the Secure Key”:
gpg –keyserver pgp.mit.edu –recv-keys 9B1DB022
gpg –export –armor 9B1DB022 | sudo apt-key add -
The packages are signed with this key to ensure their authenticity.

I have a AMD Turion Dual Core processor. How do I install Satanc Ubuntu on this machine. It was the MAIN reason I switched to Linux but it keeps telling me I’ve held broken packages and won’t install.

Hi Josh,
What version of Ubuntu are you running? Posting the output from “uname -a” at the command line may help, as would the errors you get when trying to install.
Usually, when people have this issue, it’s when they try to install the Ubuntu Gutsy packages on a Feisty machine. If that’s not the issue, then post back here or email me and we’ll get you up and running.
